Mallett's Beer Mallet

Who could surpass Timmy "WACaday" Mallett when it comes to being the king of Saturday morning tele? Well, everyone as it turns out. As they say though, out of something bad comes something good, so we didn't suffer the erstwhile Mr Mallett for nothing, as this game will prove.

It's a word association game, etc, etc, etc

You will need: At least 3 players and some lager.

Once again the nostalgia bunny visits us to present us with a drinking game. In 1986 a "wacky" kids TV presenter played on his amusing name and a kids game was spawned. Unfortunately "Touch Timmy" was deemed unfit for kids TV therefore "Malletts's Mallet" was created instead. Every Saturday morning two pre-teens would be hit with an semi-amusing effigy of a woodwork tool if they weren't quick enough to randomly generated word-string started by the bespectacled buffoon.

The game would start with the rules of the game spelled out like so

"Mallett'smalletisawordassociationgamewhereyoumustn'tpauseyoumustn'thesitateyoumustn'trepeatawordelseyouget
abashontheheadlikeTHIS!
orlikeTHIS!Weplayforaminuteandtheonewiththemostbruisesloses."

Fortunately you do not have to wear a pair of specs out of Elton John's reject bin to play this game. Two players sit opposite each other with a pint of lager each, the third person says a random word and off you go, its a word
association game, the first person to pause or repeat a word has to take a large mouthful of beer.

Generally it's a good idea to play this until you can't speak, or until you can only say random swear words.
