I went along expecting it to be just a Thai place - but there's a good sized pub area with a reasonable number of tables and chairs at the bar for drinking rather than eating. The restaurant area was sectioned off round the bigger side of the place and set-up for eating only. It's a basic kind of pub - just wooden tables and the bar - but the bar itself is pretty neat with plenty of Fullers branded decoration going on. The guy behind the bar offered new drinks without prompting just as we were draining the pint, which impressed. So nothing to get excited about but the place scores reasonably well with me thanks to some excellent friendly service. Food smelt good too! G.|
V Friendly guy behind the bar. I always love the places where the next pint gets offered just as you are finishing the first and without you having to leave your chair though on this occasion we were in a rush so unfortunately could not oblige.
It is a very basic place and the style of the building is very plain and reminds me of a canteen style esp as the tables are all in lines rather than interesting laid out. Read above re the fact I don't really believe this is a pub but I suppose I have to agree that half of it is and we did like the Pub decorations such as the Fullers mirror and clock if I remember rightly. I wander if this was a dedicated pub before the Thai thing came on board but I don't know the history.
Not a bad place but no atmosphere when we were there and very basic building and furnishings. S.
Considering its mainly a Thai restaurant it was actually quite impressive to be serving up good pints of London Pride. I love the stuff and this was actually a very good pint tasting just right. It's only a small bar and the rest of the draught selection was standard stuff. G.|
This is a restaurant really in my book but you could successfully argue against that as it calls itself a bar and restaurant and half of it is set out as bar but I still don't believe it. The beers on the go suggested a restaurant selection of drinks as well but as G said, it did well to have one proper beer on. S.
