RE-REVIEW:

It's Nov 2009 and looking back I'm surprised it was open in 2004. It seems like it has been closed for years. That's mostly because it has!

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
25 September 2004

We ended up here because of the location and the fact it has a late license - it was very strangely quiet though I thought. It's been open a few years now but still feels like its a fresh and new trendy town bar. The bogs are very posh indeed - they must have spent ages putting all those litte tiny tiles up. It's all very designy feeling with a curvy bar, bright colours, crazy lights and tables on different levels. Very sexy feeling. They should turn the heating up though. G.
Not sure about the bright colours, I reckon more sedate colours which add to the groovy feeling of the place. It seems to have been quiet for a while now later on Friday and Saturday evenings so I guess it's not the place to be seen these days. It lost a lot of atmos for that reason and felt half the place it could be as it just had a big empty space in the middle. We had a jolly good time though as the company was good and the drink was just managing to go down. The toilets do have excellent tiles so that is worth checking out although you may get some strange looks if that's the only reason you go in there. All in all, I like this place but it needs more peolpe in it really. Don't remember it being cold though?! S.
I think you had your beer coat on! G.

BEER EXPERIENCE

Nothing exciting to report. Stella, Boddingtons, usual stuff. It's a swanky town bar though, so there's a lot of cocktail activity going on, and a very good range of spirits - including that strange stuff with gold floaty bits in it that Janet made me drink. G.
You loved it you did! I stuck to my Boddies which by this time was giving me hiccups and making me feel sick. Though I did recover and finished off the pint. I thnk they could do with livening up the beer selection on tap with something a bit more unusal as this would really help it stand out a bit from the rest. S.

"I've often enjoyed visiting CASA- the prices are reasonably priced and there always has enough bar staff unlike certain clubs (Risa, most Wetherspoons, Pavlov's Dog, etc...) However, I'm amazed that it's always so empty, so looses points for that."
