THIS PUB HAS NOW CLOSED DOWN

White walls, a nice red bar, and a black ceiling with exposed beams. Oh, and lots of scantly clad ladies all over the place hinting at the exposure of something other than beams. Although I'm sure it would make you smile. The Honey Pot is Reading's only strip bar and the ladies are actually a lot more pleasant then some of the rumours I'd heard before visiting. Quite how they wear so little when it's that cold in the place I'm not sure. I don't think I'd be walking around in just my pants. There's a curtained off area at the back for those with extended budget and a small stage at the front of the bar with the obligatory pole. This is a place for groups of blokes to end the night really - although it closes at 11pm. Take the girls out of this place and there's nothing at all to recommend it to anyone. However, with the girls there then it really depends what kind of night you're after! G.|
I don't think anyone would want you walking around in just your pants anyway mate! It was freezing when we in here, maybe as it was early on a weeknight but as we were leaving it was beginning to get a little busier. There is not much in the way of places to sit though, a couple of high tables and a few stools or you'll have to hang out at the bar (not literally you understand, I mean hangin' out as in slang for chillin' which in turn is slang for...well...just standing around really). Standing around looking a bit sheepish and uncomfortable if you are me G trying to explain to one of the ladies who is after your business that you are only here as you are doing a review of all the places in town and had to come so no, you don't want a dance, thanks all the same. It did strike me as odd that they knew Grahams name but it was probably just a lucky guess! Lucky guess my ar*e!
The place was pretty basic and even though I had heard it wasn't the greatest I was expecting a more clubby decor going on inside. I assume they are working on the premise that it is not the walls you will be looking at. S.
Lets face it, people don't come here for the beer. Three pound fifty for a pint of Stella was expensive but wasn't as bad as I was expecting. G.|
And I think it was only Stella and one non premium lager on tap but I may even be exaggerating. S.

"The Honey Pot has been closed for some time now, I believe Michael has re-located to above BAR SPORTS (the lounge).
