I walked in and was immediately hit by a very nice pub smell. Not the bad one you get sometimes but the good one. I also liked this place as soon as I was in. It had a few nice things going for it - a nice comfy looking sofa, a few books on window sills and ledges, and an eclectic collection of washing up bowls and such like as plant pots! There were a couple of blokes having a drink on their own and a few locals at the bar and the high ceiling and relative openness of the place gave it a relaxing kind of feel. Try it, you might like it. S.|
The place had a personal feel about it - not tied to a big pub chain - just someone's pub. I liked the books on the shelves scattered around the place and the big poster trying to get someone to drive the pub darts team around while they get pissed. Don't think they'll get many offers on that one. The dart board itself was tucked away in a corner by the front windows, there was a jukebox and a normal TV sat on a table against the wall. Despite the personal touches it had a slightly basic feel about it - not shabby but not the best presented place. G.
Abbot ale and London Pride available - not bad for a such a small pub. The London Pride tasted spot on but was served with a massive head. I nearly mentioned it but was surrounded by locals and didn't want to get off on the wrong foot! G.|
Small pub - big ceiling. Well high anyway. Also, Stella, Foster and guiness so all the usual are well represented. S.

"Nice atmosphere and friendly locals. Ran out of London Pride unfortunately, but spend an enjoyable evening chatting with the landlady.
